John Green has done a wonderful deal with his narrative style and writing, while reading you feel like you are inside of Aza's head. Thus the reader are able to   better understand Aza and the problems that she is going through. To describe the mental struggles that Aza experience the author uses the concept of "Though spiral", it explains the situation where one can not control the thought of oneself, this can be pretty much relatable to every, because controlling our mind and thought is not as easy as it sounds. We may come across sayings like "be the master of your own mind" but mastering our mind is really a difficult task especially if you are suffering from anxiety disorder, "The thing about a spiral is, if you follow it inward, it never actually ends. it just keeps tightening, infinitely."

Author has proved himself to be exceptionally talented writer by making the work philosophical, intellectual and realistic at the same time. Youngsters may find philosophy boring sometime, its is said to the the wisdom of age. But the author beautifully blended many philosophical ideas into his writing. Characters are so realistic that we can connect to the characters and the way they think. Even though the title looked from a peripheral view can be misleading, has a great significance in the novel. It can be either the though spiral or Davis senior's blind faith which leads to all the complications in the novel.

My favorites quote from the novel is "Your now is not your forever" which is a pretty optimistic quote which bring hope in the mind of readers. Although it is a good read, I won't recommend this to you if you struggling with your mind at present because it can be too intensive.
